| MATERIAL: |
Rails, pickets, and posts shall be manufactured from tubing meeting the requirements of ASTM A 513 and ASTM A 500 Grade A. |
| FABRICATION: |
Panels and gates shall be welded construction. Welds shall be made by gas metal arc welding method and shall be clean, neat, and performed by experienced craftsmen. All mitered or flush welds shall be ground smooth. |
| POWDER COAT FINISH: |
All steel products are pregalvanized and are to be pretreated in a 5 stage power wash system to remove organic and inorganic surface soils and residual oxides, then a phosphate chemical conversion coating will be applied to the steel allowing the powder coating to firmly adhere. A polyester powder coating will be applied by electrostatic spray application. Coating thickness will be a minimum of 1.5 to 2.0 mils. The coating shall be baked at 370° for 15 minutes to properly cure. |
| RUST PREVENTION MAINTENANCE: |
Although Kinslo provides a premium scratch resistant polyester powder coat finish, damage to the finish during shipping and jobsite installation may occur and must be touched up immediately after occurrence by the installer. Periodic rust prevention maintenance is necessary during the life of the product to preserve the finish. |
